Follow the steps mentioned below to generate your Driving License Check Code:

Step 1: Go to the Gov website and enter:

1. Your driving licence number
2. Your national insurance number
3. The postcode listed on your licence

Step 2: To create your driving license check code now click “Share licence information”.

Few things to keep in mind:

1. The code is case-sensitive
2. It can only be used once
3. The code is valid for 21 days, so wait until your instructor asks for it.

Step 3: You have to share only the last 8 digits of the code of your licence number. This 8 digit code will be used to verify your license details online. To keep a record, they might save a screenshot of the verification.

💡 Important Reminder: On your first lesson, you must also bring your photocard licence for ID inspection. If you failed to prove you’re allowed to drive, your instructor can refuse to teach you.
